Collecting a Numeric check item: This is a process where an operator inputs the number gotten from the collected data into the check item. In collecting a numeric check item, show the Lower Specification Limit, Target, and Upper Specification Limit (LSL, TARGET and, USL).
When the number collected is lower or higher than the specified target, the image turns red but when the number collected is the specified target or within the target, the image turns green .
After collecting your number, depending on if it is below specification, target, or upper specification limit, you have to save and move to the next sample, otherwise, just save. Also, if all check items are collected and saved, you can trackout to the next sample to collect another sample.
Also, the sanity minimum and maximum are set to help prevent numerical errors entered while collecting your specification data. For example, if you set your LSL as 40, Target 45, and USL 50, then you can set your minimum sanity to 0 and a maximum of 50. This means, when an operator mistakenly inputs a number greater than 50, there will be an error message as shown in diagram 1.4 below.
NOTE: Only the administrator can create a check item for collecting single or multiple data. Also the administrator can set or edit the minimum or maximum sanity or someone else given the privilege to.
See the article "Numeric Variable Check Item type" for more understanding of Numeric variable.
