Build Number 10.115.12.x
Overview
Welcome to the AIMSCO October 2020 Release. This build focuses on a small number of new features as well as some bug fixes. The primary new feature expands upon the Integrated Planning Base Table functionality to bring closer parity with the existing Control Center Features. Outside of these changes, we have also focused on additional stability fixes related primarily to various aspects of Integrated Planning Features.
Base Table Explorer Import
This build introduces the beginning stages of Base Table Explorer Import. Although this feature is not complete, it does allow for basic import of any Base Table data.
Base Table Explorer New Record Pre-fills
As the Base Table Explorer functionality has increased in usage, we have identified some quality of life changes that can make the functionality easier to use when creating new records. This build introduces a New Record Pre-fill. When viewing existing data, any values in your filters will be Auto Pre-filled when you create a new row. This functions to prevent errors from mistyping data and also makes the operation of adding a new record much quicker.
Integrated Planning Schedule Edit Archive
Integrated Planning through the Schedule Edit interface has become a staple of the latest versions of MLM. As useful as it is, there are cases where something like a Product or Area was either incorrectly named, or is no longer used. In order to deal with these cases, we have introduced an Archive functionality to Product, Area, Station, and Plan. When archived the given record and EVERYTHING following that step in the schedule will no longer be displayed or available for selection in Integrated Planning. This allows for easier user cleanup of setup data without violating unique constraints. If you do not see this features, it may require additional updates. For details and to request the needed upgrades, contact Support@aimsco.com.
QR Code Scanning from an external source directly to a Sub Schedule
In addition to the Integrated Planning changes, we now have an optional capability to generate a QR code that can take a user Directly to a desired Sub Schedule in the MLM interface. This is useful in cases where the Schedule uses Navigation Constraints and a user needs to easily be given override permissions via a ticket or report printout. This can also be used as an easy way to create a unit sticker/printout that, when scanned, will load into the Schedule with that unit, preventing the need for extensive navigation.
Bug Fixes;
In addition to the new features listed above, the following bugs have been fixed.
- Fixed an issue that caused Alpha check items to display with an expanded list after closing a Step By Step in some cases.
- The Base Table Explorer will now properly filter by the users plant and also pre-fill the Plant when creating a new record when appropriate.

These release notes will detail the standard bug fix section as well as a brief coming soon detailing what you can expect in the next few months.

This feature will extend the existing Base Table Export functionality and enable you to import these files. In the design of this feature, we have focused on providing a replacement to the legacy Control Center export/import while also modernizing the interaction as well as increasing the usability. With this in mind, we are targeting the following key features:
- Allow Inserts and Updates via import
- Easy handling of multi tab imports to multiple base tables in a single operation
- Enable the import of a file that does NOT match existing base table schema by utilizing advanced column mapping
- Easier to read and understand change comparison

We look forward to providing more details on this new feature in the coming months.

Build Number 10.115.9.x
Overview
Welcome to the AIMSCO July 2020 release. In this release, we have focused on Quality of Life improvements for Base Table Editor, Simpler ways to open Checksheet Edit, and updates to the Check Item Instructions editor. Beyond the new feature list, this build also includes various bug fixes and stability improvements.
Base Table Editor changes
Base Table Editor will now display data in a paginated form when loading lots of data. Each page contains a maximum of 50 results.
In addition to the pagination changes, the filter logic has also been updated to allow search by "Is Null" on optional fields.
The last major change for the Base Table Editor relates to preparation for the future. The Base Table Editor will now allow you to export displayed results to an Excel file. This allows for easier view and analysis of the current existing base tables and paves the way for future updates allowing mass Import/Update of data.
Easier Entry to Checksheet Edit
Prior to this release, Checksheet Edit required you to open up the checksheet for inspection. This presented some issues in cases where the checksheet contained Pass Fail items with Default Value "OK" or in cases where you did not have existing PSNs to enter the checksheet. We have addressed this need for an easier entry to checksheet edit by displaying a hover icon directly on the Nav++ Checksheet Selection. When clicked, this button will open up the checksheet for edit without having to select a PSN and start an inspection.
Improved Check Item Instructions Editor
The final new feature for this build is a new and improved version of the Check Item Instructions Editor. This new editor includes some visual changes that make it easier to use as well as some quality of life improvements including:
- Upload an image directly in the control
- Easily change an existing image source
- View and edit as a Preview or view and edit the raw HTML
- Built in Instruction length testing to prevent issues when attempting to save larger than allowed instructions

Build Number 10.115.7.x
Overview
Welcome to the AIMSCO May 2020 release. In this release, we have focused on visual improvements that addresses feedback related to checksheet display size, improvements to Integrated Planning styling, and updates to the overall look of the application. In addition to these visual changes, we have also applied fixes to a handful of bugs, mostly related to Integrated Planning.
Modern Theme
The primary visual change in this new build has to do with the new Modern Theme.
Selection of this new Modern theme is accessed through the user settings. This also allows you to switch back to the Classic theme if desired.
This theme applies changes to reduce the size of the header and move the core navigation buttons from the top header to the left hand Nav Menu. These changes increase the overall display area available for screens like Checksheet, Repair, Reports, etc. In addition to this change, we have reduced the overall click count required to enter key pages (such as checksheet and repair) by removing the Classic theme multi-level menu.
In addition, the new left navigation menu can now be collapsed to further increase available screen area. When collapsed, the nav will display the new Navigation Icons and hide the page titles.
The Modern theme takes styling further by also applying updates to the Checksheet display to be more visually appealing and easier to interact with. These changes include:
- Reduced clutter of the Checksheet header using new Icons instead of the classic buttons
- Increased visual separation of check items
The last change related to this new Modern theme is the introduction of MLM Linkability. When navigating through MLM in the new theme, the browser URL will change, this link can be saved or sent to other users. These links allow you to easily navigate back into a specific checksheet or repair screen without having to go through the standard navigation schedules. This also allows you to trigger a full browser refresh within a Checksheet or Repair screen without having to navigate back into the target screen.
The selected Theme preferences are sticky by user, plant, and machine.
Integrated Planning Base Table Explorer changes
In addition to these new styling changes, we have also introduced a handful of changes to the Integrated Planning Base Table Editor including:
- New Base Tables available to edit: Rework Method and Departments
- Updates to various styling components to make edits more intuitive
- Improved overall performance for large base tables such as Part List, Characteristics, and Defect Codes
Bug Fixes
Other than the new features listed above, we have also applied the various bug fixes.
